Carolina Lupus Followup

Disease activity, comorbid disease and disease progression in the Carolina Lupus Study. This is a follow-up of the Carolina Lupus Study (CLU), which enrolled 265 SLE patients living in eastern North Carolina and South Carolina who were diagnosed between January 1, 1995 and July 31, 1999. The CLU study also enrolled 355 population-based controls. This study will look at genetic factors, co-morbid conditions, socioeconomic status and environmental factors in the risk of development and progression of lupus nephritis in SLE patients.
