Didactic Learning is varied and includes:
- Core lecture series for fellows
- Rheumatology Grand Rounds
- Medicine Grand Rounds
- Weekly case conferences
- Weekly renal pathology meeting
- Monthly Journal Club
- Quarterly research-in-progress seminar
- Monthly Musculoskeletal Ultrasound sessions with hands-on learning
- Sessions offered through the Thurston Arthritis Research Center and other venues throughout the UNC.
- All Fellows attend the annual meeting of the American College of Rheumatology (ACR)
- All fellow participate annually in the Carolinas Fellows Consortium in July and January. The CFC is a collaboration between Wake Forest University, University of North Carolina, Duke University and the Medical University of South Carolina.
